Welcome to 42 Outdoors.com
Welcome! Let’s Begin our Outdoor Adventure!
We started this site to provide you with insights and helpful information to save you time, money, and maybe even some misery as you explore and expand an active, happy, and healthy life! We love the outdoors. Do you think of adventure as something that requires solitude on a river, a mountain, in a desert, or along a clear-running trout stream? While you will find a lot of material here on those types of adventures, we also know that adventure can come to you on a fishing charter, at a local park, at a museum, or even at a rock concert!
Budding and experienced hunters, fisher-men and -women, campers, backpackers, hikers, paddlers, and those who are pursuing an overall healthier lifestyle will find really cool and worthwhile content. We are passionate about introducing people to something they’ve never before experienced. Often you will find how-to articles aimed at getting you going on new adventures. We are passionate about the outdoors, and hope to bring our knowledge to you both to improve your experience and to encourage newbies to spread their wings.

Outdoor Gear
Also, some gear works well and other gear can be a waste of money. It isn’t always about the quality of the gear; it often relates to how you will use it and whether it is really worth it for your needs. You might want that $4,000 spotting scope, but are you sure you will use it enough to make the purchase truly valuable to you? For some the answer is “heck yes” while others will find that “probably not right now” may be a better response. We explore those strategies that help you to avoid expensive mistakes while maximizing your fun and adventure.
For the time being, we are not going to center our content around adrenaline-junkie activities. Sky-diving, rock-climbing, snowmobile high-marking, and whitewater kayaking is not presently in our wheelhouse. If it makes sense in the future, we sure may add some of these more technical and scary sports. Right now, we have a lot to do just to introduce you to or expand on your knowledge of the thrill of slightly less dangerous adventures.
Outdoors – people
Hunters and photographers know the adrenaline that comes in close encounters with their quarry. Fly-fisherman have their own adrenaline-laced moments as well. Adrenaline is a great drug…it gives us the response we are seeking at times. We believe it is equally valuable to enjoy the tranquility of nature and to relax with friends or family around a cheery campfire on a crisp mountain evening. It is empowering to through-hike or multi-day hike, sustaining yourself without a power outlet, wi-fi, a refrigerator, or stove! It is peaceful to take a walk in the park or a day-hike along the shore, in the mountains or desert, or along a local rural back-road or trail. This is what we are about!
There are so many tiny tricks and tips to sustaining a more healthy lifestyle. This isn’t rocket-science, but medical, nutritional, and health dogma haunts us still. We stick to science-based health tips and hacks to help you to gain maximum health benefits for the time and effort invested. You don’t have to be a vegan gym-rat to be healthier. Getting proper sleep, exercise, and truly good foods is pretty much the simple recipe, and we will provide you instantly-useful information to help you on your journey.
Outdoors Fun
As time goes on, we hope to add some higher-adrenaline stuff, along with a wider range of authors. We will evolve. For now, enjoy the journey with us, and PLEASE provide us your comments and feedback. We want this to be your community; your tribe; and where we can link you up with other members who share your passions, we are so excited to help catalyze this. Perhaps you will be leading us together on the greatest adventure of all!! – Steve Boyce
